Holistic Alternatives, LLC -

After I graduated from high school,  I was accepted into the nursing program at St. Joseph's School of Nursing in Syracuse, NY,  and I fulfilled my childhood dream to become a Nurse. I worked for several years as an RN, then I took some time off to home school and care for my two daughters.

My desire to return to the medical field grew  and I was becoming very interested in holistic modalities. After a very scary hospitalization due to a medication reaction, I knew I wanted to do something that would promote health and wellness instead of just treating disease.  So began my search to find a school where I could learn about health alternatives. I found the Global College of Natural Medicine (www.gcnm.com), and began studying their Holistic Health Practitioner program.  After completing the program, I received Board Certification through the American Association of Drugless Practitioners.

During my studies, I became very interested in ortho-molecular nutrition and I began to find myself reading more about this topic. I became fascinated to learn how vitamins and minerals could positively affect the health of the body, and best of all, this was a "natural" means to becoming well!
My passion was birthed as I learned about the body's amazing ability to heal itself, and since food is something we all need in order to survive, I began to go deeper into the subject of nutrition. I was introduced to Standard Process, Inc. in 2007.  I was very impressed with the pure, wholesome nutrition that was available to us through these supplements. I have studied their product line extensively and use them exclusively.

I recently graduated from the International Foundation for Nutrition and Health (www.ifnh.com), as a Certified Clinician in Whole Food Nutrition.

In addition to my passion for nutrition, I began learning about therapeutic grade essential oils. I was introduced to Young Living Essential Oils by a very good friend, and as I began studying the nature of these oils I became very intrigued with their various benefits, both for physical and emotional health. We cannot ignore the importance of our emotional health! The more I began to use, experience, and witness the positive effects they had on the body and mind, the more I wanted to know about them.  So, I attended a 4-day CARE Intensive (Center for Aromatherapy Research and Education) training in Michigan where I learned about the history, chemistry, and different application techniques of essential oils. Now I use them daily and have incorporated them into my business. I continue to study the many fascinating benefits that these oils offer.
